This year, something unique is going to happen in our country, in the field of space travel. Nearly a hundred astronauts from all over the world are coming to the Netherlands.

A historical event.

The astronauts catch up with each other and various experts share their knowledge. And young people show how they view the use of space technology for a healthy future of our planet. Innovation, collaboration, science and technology are central during all parts of the conference.

I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s shape the future together!

Generation Space:
Think bigger than ever

The visit of international astronauts to our country is part of the NL Space Week and the direct reason for organizing educational programs for high school students, secondary education students and higher education students: The Next Space Generation.

The grand finale of NL Moonshots ’24 will take place during the conference week. Student teams from mbo, hbo and wo have been challenged to come up with a moonshot: a smart, innovative, grand and limitless idea, inspired by a unique perspective: Think Bigger Than Ever.

The Vakkanjers program will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this coming school year and will celebrate this with the theme Space Mission Earth: A Look at the Future. Together with the Association of Space Explorers, students take up the challenge to come up with ideas on how to make life on our planet better, more beautiful and healthier from space.
